Welcome aboard, organization, prepare for first Dragon run |

Dragon run.
Due to the time it takes to get from Robbinsville to the Dragon, run
the Dragon, and get back again, there will be a single run conducted.
After the run, feel free to stop at the Deal's Gap Motorcycle
Resort for a cold drink, t-shirt, patch or any number of other type of

Lunch, general
socializing. There are a number of possible places to eat in
Robbinsville - any group activities are strictly volluntary. Make
sure you gas up before 1:30,, - the Cherohala Skyway, itself, it 40+
miles long, and is preceded by a 10-15 miles trek to the starting
point. No gas once you leave Robbinsville, until Telico Plains.

Gather at the Pineapple Whip . The
Parkers own this place, and they have a large parking area, perfect
for staging for the next run.
While there, feel free to purchase a
Pineapple (or Strawberry) Whip (frozen jiuce concoction -
delicious!) |

to 5pm |
Cherohala Skyway run. Due
to the unexpected (happily!) number of folks attending, we are doing
this free-style. Once on the Skyway, there are plenty of
pull-offs with scenic over-views. Feel free to stop and gawk
whenever/where-ever you like, but mind the time. The run is
approximately 41 miles to Telico Plains, and we want to meet up about
3:30. We will leave at 4pm to return to Robbinsville. Cherohala

Drive to the Fontana Dam
for a group photo. Darryl Cannon of Killboy.com will be taking the shot
(though others are welcome to take pics too). Once we are
done, those that are going to the group dinner will procede to the
Fontana Village. Others are free to head back to their chosen
destination. |
